A key reason for our successful expansion over the years is our community of hardworking, skilled staff that each has their own vital link in the chain.

Many of our employees have worked within the business for a number of years. Four have even received long service awards at the local Three Counties Agricultural Society Show, including one for working more than 50 years on the farm! (That's a lot of farming).

Our 'fruities' come from near and far. Whilst employment of locally skilled workers has doubled in the last three years, much of our workforce is also sourced from Eastern European countries, many of whom are students visiting the UK for the first time. What's more, we look to further employee's experience of the community by organising regular sight-seeing tours and a variety of social events, including sports matches and tournaments, all of which contribute to the local economy and tourist industry.

Recruitment of employees is managed by Company Partner Christine Snell, who is also a Director of Concordia (YSV) Ltd. They're our friends in recruitment, who specialise in recruiting employees from Bulgaria and Romania. Therefore, anybody from Bulgaria or Romania who is looking to join the team should register their interest with Concordia (YSV) Ltd. (Residents of all other countries, including the A8 countries, should register their interest direct with us).

The farm has been fully audited for the employment of Eastern European students, having undergone an Ethical Trading Audit and regular audits from Concordia (YSV) Ltd.

In 2009 the farm was awarded a ‘Customer Award in recognition of an outstanding
contribution to the development and training of young people’ from Concordia
having employed Concordia students for more than fifteen years.
